Lack of transparency defies legally binding global public health treaty

Edmonton, Montreal, December 4, 2023 – As parliamentary hearings begin today on the Federal
government’s Medicago vaccine collaboration with tobacco giant Philip Morris International (PMI),
health groups are calling for full disclosure of any potential transactions and agreements with tobacco
companies and demanding that the Federal government adopt its legally binding treaty obligations.
