Registration Information: 2024 Clinical Smoking Cessation Education Forum

Horizon Health Network’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Clinical Smoking Cessation will be hosting its 5th Clinical Smoking Cessation Education Forum on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Wu Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This event is CPDME accredited for 5.0 MAINPRO+ credits through Dalhousie University. Please see the attached program agenda.

The registration deadline for the Education Forum is Friday, October 4^th at 4pm.

The purpose of the Forum is to facilitate the continued education of health care providers and administrators in evidence-based, clinical tobacco and vaping dependence treatment, and build upon the existing communities of practice within Horizon Health Network.

This year, the CoE is excited to welcome Dr. David Hammond, Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Lorraine Greaves, Medical Sociologist and Senior Investigator at the Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health in Vancouver, BC, Megan Jacobs, Vice President of Product and Innovations at the Truth Initiative in Washington, DC, Dr. Robert Reid, one of the main inventors of the Ottawa Model for Smoking Cessation and Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, Dr. Hassan Mir, Cardiologist and Researcher in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and Chair of the Ottawa Model for Smoking Cessation program, and Dr. Peter Selby, Senior Scientist and Senior Medical Consultant at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, ON.

The registration fee for this event will be $100.00. Registration will not be complete until payment has been received. Please see the registration link or QR code below to register.
